Mr. Torres has been with Vantage Consulting since its founding in 1994. His 25 years of automation experience covers many aspect of factory automation including design, development, procurement and implementation of Process Automation, Packaging Systems and Complete Line Automation including hands on expertise with advanced Programmable Logic Controllers, SCADA/HMI Visualization Platforms, Multi Axis Motion Control systems.
Mr. Torres provides upfront technical expertise in automation, serialization and data management engagements for the Pharmaceutical and Food industries across all Vantage Consulting geographies.
Mr. Torres develops creative solutions to complex manufacturing and engineering problems through leadership and he Collaborates closely with IT, engineering, validation and sales teams to deliver innovative solutions that drive customer value and company profitability. He also provides guidance, coaching and training to group resources.
He came to the Vantage from Systech Solutions Inc- Cranbury NJ, an automation systems integrator and electronic vision inspection pioneer business for the pharmaceutical industry worldwide. He was responsible for the analysis, design, and implementation of highly complex, multimillion dollar, automated manufacturing systems for pharmaceutical facilities in Puerto Rico and across the US.
Before that, Mr. Torres was Senior Engineer at Alco Machine- Bloomfield NJ, where he was responsible for the design of automation controls and vision inspection systems for custom manufacturing equipment for the US pharmaceutical industry. He has also held engineering positions involve in the manufacture of fiber Optic cables and connectors for Doran Photonics, Energy Saving Systems for Energy Methods/Butler Building Automation, Injection Molding for Coca Cola and Petrochemical process equipment for Hayward Industries and robotic storage/retrieval system for New York Telephone(NYNEX) for Hudson Robotics.
Mr. Torres is a proud, Honorably Discharged Veteran of the United States Navy where he worked on advance electronic navigation and guidance systems onboard the Aircraft Carrier Nimitz.
Mr. Torres holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Thomas Edison State University Trenton New Jersey.
